Since Memorial Day...

Colorado's snow has melted into our streams. The cliff bands of granite shine as the long sun makes its way through the sky, shimmering light from small quartz and mica crystals into the thin air. And as the snow melts, the water rises, and a new season of shenanigans starts and the hooligans come out to play. This year was no exception. The 62nd FibARK festival in Salida, Colo brought out the crazies, elite kayakers, families and of course lots of dogs. What river festival doesn't have dogs?

Never mind that though. This year, the action was hot in the cool Arkansas River water with a freestyle jam session entertaining the crowd before the annual hooligan race.
